We have no doubt that Dr. Nayak will flourish in this new role. Please join us in congratulating him and wishing him much success.

Patrick Austin, MD, Named Chief of Vascular Surgery & Plastic Surgery

The internalization of both Vascular Surgery and Plastic Surgery greatly improved TSPMG’s ability to care for more patients within our integrated system and has improved care quality & outcomes. After much consideration, we felt it was very important to appoint a leader with direct oversight and representation for these two smaller departments who have similar needs. We have asked Patrick Austin, MD, to serve as Chief of these combined departments.

Dr. Austin joined TSPMG in 2014 as a vascular surgeon. He received his medical degree and completed his surgery residency at the University of Alabama - Birmingham. He completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa and is Board certified in vascular surgery.

Patrick is a results focused, patient, hard worker who always gives his best. We feel confident that he will do a fantastic job as Chief and be a strong leader in our organization for years to come.

Margaret Kottke, MD, named Chief of Dermatology

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group is pleased to announce that Margaret Kottke, MD has been named as our new Chief of Dermatology. She takes over the role previously held by John Strickler, MD, who stepped away to concentrate on his clinical responsibilities and his leadership role as our Physician Director of Procedural Specialties.

Dr. Kottke is very enthusiastic and brings an analytical and measured approach to her well thought out plans.  She is excited to take on this role and I have no doubt she will thrive in this position.

Dr. Kottke received her medical degree from the Emory University School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency in Dermatology. She joined TSPMG in 2008 and currently sees patients in the Gwinnett and Crescent Centre MOBs.

Please join us in welcoming Margaret to her new role.
