Dr. Anna Skold Receives High Honor from Healthcare Ethics Consortium
Congratulations to TSPMG Palliative Care physician Anna Skold, MD, who was honored at the recent Healthcare Ethics Consortium Annual Conference.
Dr. Skold, who serves as the TSPMG Physician Lead for Ethics, received the “Heroes in Healthcare Ethics” Award which recognizes an individual for their exemplary achievements in the field of healthcare ethics within their healthcare organizations and/or communities.
“Dr. Skold is an amazing contributor for TSPMG and our patients,” said Kate Koplan, MD, TSPMG AMD Quality & Patient Safety. “She is a passionate and experienced leader for ethics and we are thrilled she received this community recognition for her wealth of contributions.”
Anna was nominated by Catherine Anderson and Vera Everage for her countless contributions to the medical group and our members.
“Dr. Anna Skold consistently gives 110% daily to go above and beyond her role to advocate for patient care. She meets the needs of her patients, medical staff and vendors with energy and compassion. Anna is always receptive to assisting with all that is asked of her. She is highly regarded by the Kaiser Permanente region and everyone that works with her.”
In addition to her clinical and Physician Lead roles, Dr. Skold serves on the Board of the National KP Ethics Committee – this year as chair. She is also a member of the Emory Hospital Ethics Committee, Piedmont Hospital Ethics Committee, and a member of the Medical Association of GA. She is a POLST (Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment) Collaborative member and assisted with the resolution for the statewide implementation of the POLST.
